KANA-BOON Cancels Concert, Bassist Meshida Yuuma Missing. Family Have Filed a Missing Persons Report.
Popular rock band KANA-BOON announced on the 13th that they will be cancelling their scheduled performance on the 15th. They have been unable to contact the bassist Meshida Yuuma (28).
"We have an important notice to report to fans and all concerned parties. We have been unable to contact Meshida Yuuma (Bassist) since June 5 (Wed). We have taken all possible measures to try to get in contact with him, but have heard no response".
His family have already filed a missing persons report. "We discussed with the members and decided that we have no other choice but to cancel the planned live performance on June 15 (Sat)."
"We sincerely apologise to all of the fans who had been looking forward to the performance, to the performers, and to all related parties. The members and staff feel great regret for reporting the end of our 5th year major label debut anniversary celebrations in this manner."
The ticket refunding process will be announced on their official website of the 17th.
In 2017, Meshida admitted to having an affair with actress Sengen Yoshiko (formerly known as Shimizu Fumika) of the religious organisation "Happy Science". He apologised, "I would like to express my deepest apologies to Shimizu-san and everyone else affected by my careless actions."
