EXILE AKIRA and Taiwanese actress Lin Chi-ling announce marriage
EXILE AKIRA (37) and Taiwanese actress and supermodel Lin Chi-ling (44) married on the July 6. LDH announced the marriage on the same day. According to the agency, they finished legal procedures in Taiwan this morning, and submitted their marriage registration this afternoon at a ward office in Tokyo. The wedding date has not been decided.
AKIRA comes from Shizuoka. He began dancing at age 16 and joined EXILE in June 2006. He is currently a central member of the group. He is also active as a member of EXILE THE SECOND. In 2009, EXILE performed "Taiyo no Kuni" in front of the Emperor and Empress of Japan for "The National Celebration for the 20th Anniversary of His Majesty The Emperor's Accession to the Throne". In addition to being an artist, he also frequently works as an actor in dramas, movies, and stage plays.
Lin Chi-ling is an actress and supermodel from Taipei, Taiwan. She works in both Taiwan and Mainland China. In her student days, she attended the University of Toronto and completed a bachelors degree in Western art history and economics. She speaks Taiwanese, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, English, and Japanese. She made her modelling debut in 2002, and her acting debut in "Red Cliff" (2008), a film by acclaimed director John Woo. She has since been active internationally, with a focus on Asia. She began working in Japan in 2009 and starred in the television drama "Moon Lovers" (2010, Fuji TV). Since then, she has appeared in commercials and magazines. She is well known even in Japan.
