Ex-KARA Member Goo Hara's Life is Not at Risk After Alleged Sᴜicide Attempt
In the early morning of the 26th, Goo Hara (28), former member of female Korean Idol group, KARA, was discovered unconscious by her manager at her home in Seoul, and taken to the hospital.
This appears to have been a sᴜicide attempt but the Korean media have reported that her life is not at risk.
According to the reports, last September, Goo-san was involved in trouble with her ex-boyfriend, and her ex was indicted for the crime of assault and blackmail. Goo-san has reportedly been suffering from depression.
KARA debuted in 2007, Goo-san joined the group in 2008. KARA is a representative K-pop girls group along with Girls' Generation. They also performed on Kohaku Uta Gassen. The group disbanded in January 2016.

When the Great Tohoku earthquake happened, Goo Hara was one of the first to donate a large sum of money to help. Japanese people are greatly indebted to her. She's a really popular Korean celebrity in Japan. I really hope she will be saved. We support you.

During the time Korea was getting worked up over the Takeshima dispute (neutral name: Liancourt Rocks), at a KARA press conference, which had nothing to do with that topic, an inconsiderate reporter asked , "Please tell us what you think about Dokdo."
At that time, a KARA member just answered with, "We have received a lot of love in Japan." But Korea considered it a problematic and traitorous statement. KARA members continued saying they were pro-Japanese even after that, and were driven out of Korea.
Afterwards, Ji-young continued her career in Japan. Her Japanese got really good and she also got more fans, while I think Hara, who returned to Korea, received severe criticism.
I want her to safely get better.

She can come over to Japan and join Ji-young! It'll be better for her mental health!
[+710 / -95]
You can run away to Japan.

She probably got involved with some dodgy guy, and decided to live and work in Korea, but it might be better for her to temporarily get out of there.
If you still feel the same way as when you were in KARA, come over to Japan like Ji-young has!
But first, you should take it easy and go on vacation or something.

Is that so? I never knew that.
I hope she somehow wakes up.

Eeeh, she was one of the people who provided assistance to Japan. I pray for her recovery.

There appears to be some Japanese people aiming for a career in Korea's entertainment industry but I think it would be wiser to reconsider...

If I remember correctly, Hara-san was one of the people who donated during the Tohoku disaster.
It's Japan's turn to help her now.

Well, she was overly pushed in Japan and earnt a heap of money here, so it's only natural that she donates.

You're Japanese, but how much did you donate?
[+216 / -33]
I could only donate 15,000 yen.
At that time I was a taxi driver with hellish wages.

How exactly will Japan help her?
Fold a thousand cranes or pray?
Be specific.

It's a country where no one can be happy.

That country's darkness... is deep.

Even though she's so popular and cute, she gave up on life because of the man she dated and her surrounding environment. If she makes a new start in another country, I think that she will succeed even if it's not Japan.

Lots of people commit sᴜicide in the entertainment industry over there. It must be a very dark place.
8. [+4519 / -119]
I thought the same with Taguchi, but you must choose the right person to date. If you get caught up with a shady person, no matter how successful you are, you won't be able to find happiness. They are proper adults so I think these matters are their own responsibility.
In this person's case, she was a victim of revenge poɾn, so she deserves a bit of sympathy though.

I don't know the actual story but...
I don't think there is any need to commit sᴜicide over a man who doesn't care about you.
If she has a more optimistic mindset, and learns how to pick out reliable guys, since she's cute, she'll definitely find happiness.

At any rate, I'm glad she was saved.
It's okay to take it step by step, so I want her to give herself a good rest.

Hara-chan is really pro-Japanese, and was the only member in Kara who personally donated 7 million yen during the earthquake disaster.
She's such a lovely kid, I hope she makes a speedy recovery, becomes emotionally stable, and finds happiness for sure.

She was beautiful and popular even among KARA members.
I think she has fans in Japan too.
If it's so bad she wants to die, she should change her environment and work in Japan.
A young person committing sᴜicide is the saddest thing.

I loved KARA.
Hara-san especially, was someone who provided aid when Japan was going through a hard time due to the earthquake.
I have a vivid impression of her trying her best with a cherubic smile.
Please get better.
I wish from the bottom of my heart that she will come to Japan with a smile on her face again.

Hara-chan, are you okay?
I won't tell you to, "Treasure your life" because your life belongs to yourself and it's a decision you made after distressing over it.
But I want you to live.
You are loved. There are many people who treasure you and many people who will be sad to say goodbye to you.
Please eat properly, rest your body a bit, and cheer up in both body and mind.
I don't know if those people are anti-Korean or not, but those prejudiced comments and the comments that are making fun of this make me sick. The life of a living being has nothing to do with what country you come from. It embarrasses me as a Japanese person to see those comments. It's too underhanded.

Hang in there, Hara-chan! Please wake up!
