Nicholas Cage, onto his 4th Marriage?!

Wednesday, 26 March 2019

It seems that Nicolas Cage is moving towards his fourth marriage. It was revealed that he applied for a wedding license in Clark, Nevada, with Erika Koike, whom he has been dating since Spring of last year. This was reported by People magazine.

According to IMDb.com, Erika is a make-up artist who worked on the Finnish short film Hankikanto. Although her age and nationality is unknown, when compared to the 55-year old Cage, it is clear that she is much younger and of Asian descent.

Last April, their relationship came to light when Cage was spotted on a date with Erika in Puerto Rico. A month later, they were reported to have had a dinner date at Los Angeles.

The Nevada wedding license is valid for a year since the date of issue. If he marries Erika within that time period, this will be his 4th marriage.

Just because she has a Japanese name, doesn't mean that she's Japanese.

[+1310, -91]
Fully confirm her nationality so you won't be fooled again.

I hope that he's married someone who he can spend the rest of his life with this time.

His previous wife was a Korean, wasn't she?

[+324, -23]
He was tricked by a Korean Zaponese last time, right? I hope that this time's Erika-san is a true Erika-san. Wishing them happiness.
*Zaponese - A Korean who pretends to be Japanese

[+312, -12]
He went through a bad experience with his alleged Japanese ex-wife.
I hope he's marrying a real Japanese person this time.
At any rate, I think that his success as an actor is very praiseworthy, people even forget that he's Coppola's nephew

[+396, -70]
I'll be happy if she's Japanese

[+95, -13]
It's a matter of congratulation. I think that Nicolas Cage is a very good actor, but to say his vows four times... 'He never learns', crosses my head, but at the same I think, his enthusiasm that it'll work out this time for sure is incredible!

[+134, -14]
Apparently, he met his ex-wife when she was working at a Japanese restaurant and called out to her at first because he thought that she was Japanese. Finally. I'm glad that he hasn't sworn off Asian people yet. Asian people are not all the same.

[+122, -9]
"The Family Man" is my favourite movie of his.
People say that he had his famous uncle's help but he's actually the personification of talent.
His comical acting in Ghost Rider and Hit-Girl where he plays the dad was also great!
Congratulations.

[+104, -9]
To be frank, speaking as someone who hasn't married even once
I'm envious. I wish them happiness

[+111, -7]
He seems to be a huge fan of Japan but he doesn't appear to be able to differentiate between real and fake Japanese.
I don't get the difference between a wedding licence and marriage.
*A wedding licence shows that it's legal for you to get married. Once you have a wedding licence, you are allowed to get married.
In Japan, you can get married by registering at the ward office (completing forms). People do not need to apply for a wedding licence.

I live in Kansai but, I'm not kidding you, he home-stayed in my neighbourhood in the past. He was a total Japanophile. He can speak simple Japanese. I think it'll go well for him if she's a real Japanese person. Best wishes

[+120, -10]
Last time was that "Aimu Zaponeezu*?!"
Finally, his lifelong part... Well, I certainly hope so.
*"I'm Japanese" in a mock Japanese accent

[+62, -3]
He made a mistake and married a Korean but, I wonder if it's a real Japanese this time.
It'll be good if that's the case.

Nicolas Cage Files for Annulment After 4 Days of Marriage

Friday, 29 March 2019

On 23rd March, Nicolas Cage and Koike Erika, his girlfriend of one year, applied for a wedding licence and were wed the very same day in Las Vegas, Nevada.

If this wasn't surprising enough, Nicolas Cage filed for an annulment this Wednesday, after 4 days of marriage. According to The Blast, if an annulment isn't possible, he wishes for a divorce.

It has been around a year since their relationship was made public. However, it's possible that they have been together for longer than that. In 2016, TMZ.com took photos of Nicolas going on a sushi date with a unknown woman dressed in a kimono. In the same year, he also went to Carrot Top's comedian show with a woman dressed in a kimono.

It has also been reported that Erika is the daughter of a Thai restaurant owner in Los Angeles.

Yesterday? When I saw the news that he got married, all I could think was, 'Oh, It's his 4th marriage. As expected, Hollywood stars sure have a lot of marriages and divorces.'
But, splitting up after only 4 days can only be called a joke.

All you can do now is laugh.

[+7990, -749]
As one would expect of a Hollywood actor

[+2821, -43]
The daughter of the owner of a Thai restaurant?
So it really wasn't a true Japanese this time either?

[+1595, -16]
I thought this would happen, but it happened much faster than I expected.

[+1505, -24]
Didn't Britney do the same thing in the past as a drunken impulse? But for her at that time, you could call it youthful indiscretion but, Nicolas Cage, he's already had three failed marriages, what on earth is he doing? As a news topic, this is really entertaining. Hollywood celebrities sure do some crazy stuff.

[+1429, -26]
If she's the daughter of a Thai restaurant owner then he probably found a non-Japanese again. He's got some good movies but his personality seems to be pretty messed up.

[+935, -21]
The impression I get of Hollywood stars is that lots of them marry and divorce over and over again.
It might be because people can't make it work if they have different values, it's a glamorous world so they'll probably be surrounded by lots of people of the other gender, plus, they're usually away from home for long periods of time, so unless they deeply trust the other person, it's impossible for marriages to last.
But, there're also people like Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep and Hugh Jackman who have been married for a long time. In the end, perhaps it all comes down to personality.

[+731, -19]
I heard that his ex-wife was a Korean who pretended to be Japanese but
I guess the one this time isn't Japanese either.

[+645, -9]
If you want to nab him, seems like you'll succeed if you walk past him dressed in a kimono.

[+700, -16]
This article is stressing "Japanese people" an awful lot... Is it because he was deceived in a similar way as last time? (´・ω・`)

[+683, -28]
His fourth marriage failed in four days
Could his next project have something to do with the number four?
