Plastic SNS Beauty - Surgery Costs 15 Million Yen - Reason was her Father's Comment "Your Face Brings Misfortune to Others."
Plastic Surgery Account: social media accounts where users disclose their personal plastic surgery experiences.
Nowadays, people are viewing plastic surgery in a more positive light. There have also been sympathetic responses among women. These girls do not only show the clean passage of their transformation, they also disclose their painful after-surgery photos. These accounts have become a place for people considering plastic surgery to learn about the actual plastic surgery experience. We interviewed a Plastic Surgery account holder: Ikirichan (21 years old/Twitter @ikirichan) regarding why she decided to have surgery, her relationship with her family, and why she decided to detail her experiences in social media.
When did you start wanting to have plastic surgery? And why?
I think I was around 8 or 9 when I started wanting plastic surgery. I had one single eyelid and one hooded double eyelid, so the size of my eyes were different... Even though I was young, I had a really big complex about it. I saw this plastic surgery TV program which was really popular at that time, and started thinking, "I want to have plastic surgery."
What make you take the plunge to have plastic surgery?
There was a time I wasn't getting along with my family. My dad told me that because my face looks like his, "Your face brings misfortune to others." My anxiety that I might not be able to find happiness with this face is what gave me the push.
I noticed that you talk a lot about your family on Twitter. You posted about the pain of deciding on having surgery without being able to discuss with them. Why couldn't you discuss it with your family?
When I was 16, I wrote a letter to my mother telling her that I had decided to get double eyelid surgery, and she gave me her support. However, after that, my mum and I were having a fight about something else, my mum said, "When you changed your face, I...", and stopped mid-sentence. I thought that maybe she had forced herself to support me when I had the eyelid surgery in consideration of my feelings. Gradually, I stopped being able to tell her about my later surgeries.
Please tell us how much you have spent on surgery altogether.
I haven't calculated but I think I've spent roughly over 15 million.
I think that there are also people who are considering plastic surgery as the result of social media. Now that we have come to an age where people can get plastic surgery with ease, what sort of advice do you have for these people?
My advice to those people considering plastic surgery would be, don't choose the clinic just because it's cheap. No matter how cheap it is, if the surgeon is unskilled, you'll end up spending 2-3 times more. So I think it's better to go to a skilled clinic from the very beginning even if it's expensive, and have a successful surgery on the first go.
Also, don't think that plastic surgery is magic. Plastic surgery isn't magic so not everyone can become beautiful. I know that some people might think what I'm saying is mean but it's the truth. If you don't understand that, when you reach your own limits, even if you want to do it, it'll be "Won't work", "Can't do it", "There's no room for growth, can't keep at it", "I want to change but I can't."

For all you know, they might have had a conversation like, "You look exactly like Papa, don't copy your Papa's unhappiness too." And because of her tragic heroine syndrome, she changed his words into something negative on her own.

Would you call that a success?
5. [+4819 / -47]
Eeeh, she wasn't ugly at all before
6. [+2907 / -33]
Even though her fugly genes all came from her father.

I just remembered Vanilla
*Vanilla Chama - woman obsessed with plastic surgery
8. [+5323 / -15]
Her original face wasn't that ugly, don't you think?
Her dad's too much.
Toxic parent.
9. [+968 / -15]
He's just like Michael Jackson's father.
10. [+2167 / -75]
Her left eye looks like Goriki's
11. [+1480 / -69]
I dunno, she just doesn't look cute to me. Is it the makeup?
12. [+1656 / -11]
That's a horrible thing for her dad to say
13. [+3179 / -20]
She had a normal face that would've looked cute with makeup even without plastic surgery!
15. [+1375 / -16]
Her original face was similar to Goriki's
Spending 15 million yen would mean she had quite a lot of work done, right? The downtime must have been exhausting.

The vital mouth area hasn't changed much at all lol.
She's focusing on the wrong areas.

Maybe it's her cleft palate. Even after surgery, something still seems out of place.17. [+1540 / -11]
What a horrible dad
Her old face wasn't even ugly
18. [+1180 / -14]
Her original face was fine.
19. [+574 / -272]
The number of "Because my dad said" excuses has increased
20. [+1224 / -56]
Whoa, it's Ikiri-chan
It's a pity, 15 million and that's it?
21. [+1233 / -7]
Even without plastic surgery, she could've created her 'after' face with just makeup.
23. [+835 / -7]
It seems like her dad has a lot of complexes
You're ugly, that's why your daughter inherited your ugly genes.
35. [+950 / -14]
Seriously, where did she spend that 15 million? Did she have liposuction in places that can't be seen or something?
Did she change features other than her eyes? She already had a good nose, did she tamper with it?
It's a real waste. She had a type of face that could look really cute with makeup.

She had liposuction on her arms and moved it to her chest
I follow her on twitter so I saw the recovery process in real time.
By the way, she is (was?) a hostess

What's her job?
It's incredible that she could scrape together 15 million.

Can't think of anything else except for the s*x industry59. [+251 / -5]
There are people who are cute and happy all throughout their lifetime without having to spend a cent on painful surgeries. What is with this world?

My dad told me that I'm bucktoothed and I've been bothered about ever since. I haven't done anything to correct it though. There are times when offhand comments can have a huge effect on someone. This girl acted on it. That's all.
84. [+136 / -1]
Vanilla's dad dissed her face too, and then she got addicted to plastic surgery.
85. [+119 / -28]
I'm guessing that
Maybe that wasn't actually what her dad said
She may have misinterpreted what he said.
People who have done something strange
tend to want to justify their actions.
Unless we hear the dad's side
I don't think we can say anything.

It says that she got interested in plastic surgery in elementary because of a plastic surgery program. Now, you have stuff like Arimura Kasumi's sister being praised on TV, so it seems like there will be even more kids who'll get interested. It's really sad for elementary schoolers to be so fixated on their appearance, so I wish they'd stop making programs about looks.
