11-member girls unit 'E-girls' will disband at the end of next year.  The announcement was made on the 22nd during an event at the Tressa Yokohama in Kanagawa. The event was held to commemorate the release of their new song "Besseikai".

Before the 11 members appeared, the news was announced on screen.  The group's leader Sato Harumi explained: "As seen on the video screen, we have decided to go on our own respective paths in 2020. Since Spring, we have been discussing the future [of the group]. When we were talking to each other about what our next course of action would be, we came to the decision to work hard on our own paths." Many of the 2000 fans at the event shed tears while listening to the explanation.

Since Dream Ami left, they lost their spark.

Thanks for all the hard work

3. [+815 / -36]
Along with Arashi?

4. [+992 / -9]
Their own respective paths?

5. [+247 / -68]
Yay!

6. [+1877 / -55]
I didn't really like them

34. [+1143 / -15]

A group where members quit en masse because of bullying
Their image is horrible
I'm happy they're breaking up.

I'm happy that E-girls is disbanding too 😄
We don't need a two-faced yankee group with bullies in it.

Wasn't it Flower, not E-girls, that had members quit because of bullying?
Happiness seem like they get along

I think it was over for the group after it turned into Washio + backdancers
They went from having a happy image to a depressing one.

When Ami was still in E-girls, they had a 'pop' vibe, but with Washio, it's a 'dark' vibe.
I don't think it was because they got more mature, it's more like the atmosphere became strained.

This exactly
I can only think of them as the 'breeding ground for horrible bullies' group
I only sense darkness from them.

7. [+66 / -168]
But I was going to go to their concert next year (cry)

8. [+2268 / -27]
There was no group that overflowed with darkness as much as this one did
This is good, isn't it?! Congratulations!

690. [+228 / -1]

What kind of darkness was there...

9. [+2445 / -9]
This group had members joining, then members leaving. In the end, I didn't really understand what the group was
Were they not popular?

10. [+892 / -17]
Washio's plan to go solo is finally...?

11. [+1319 / -32]
Yes, please disband.

12. [+1856 / -14]
The other LDH groups were performing in domes or arenas but only E-girls were still performing in halls. Their popularity must've been dropping too.

52. [+495 / -9]
>>12
I don't have any recollection of them being popular.
To begin with, their "popularity" as magazine models was just something their agency bought for them.

The other day, they had a shopping mall release event? type of thing in Saitama. When I saw that, I thought, "Eh?! Did they get this unpopular?" but now they're disbanding...

They were popular for a while around the 'Gomenasai no' era.
I saw a lot of young girls imitating them, they were on the rise but then members were replaced or they retired, and they lost the popularity that they had.

13. [+842 / -23]
A dignified decision
Everyone else should follow their example

14. [+2573 / -11]
I only remember the blonde girl

15. [+30 / -104]
ATSUSHI: "The era is ours!"

16. [+1942 / -14]
Even if Washio Reina debuts solo, she's not going to sell

17. [+780 / -6]
Wise decision

18. [+1340 / -13]
This year would've been fine too

19. [+814 / -8]
It's better than continuing forever.

20. [+531 / -17]
So Washio-san is going for the solo debut huh

21. [+1090 / -8]
The Washio? girl
The only impression I have of her is everyone bashing her hard out.

22. [+418 / -32]
I'm glad that Happiness is still going...

23. [+1152 / -14]
When Ami left, I thought the group was reaching their end.
Even though I liked them

24. [+547 / -15]
Yeah, they weren't in demand...

25. [+1271 / -9]
Honestly, when Ami left, they faded out.

26. [+1016 / -16]
Expected since no member was popular

27. [+631 / -13]
It's better to quit now than to slowly delay the inevitable.

28. [+620 / -12]
They didn't have much work. This was probably the best time.

29.  [+601 / -21]
Wait, they haven't disbanded yet!?

30. [+1199 / -6]
This agency abandons their female artists really quickly
A lot of their best kids have already quit.

31. [+663 / -10]
They seem like they're on bad terms

33. [+603 / -8]
Harumi was the leader but she didn't get to do anything

37. [+1159 / -6]
I only know 'Follow Me' and 'Gomenasai no Kissing you'.
I thought this would happen sooner or later since it's a big girl group with members that seem to have strong personalities

152. [+128 / -2]
>>37
Why do all-male groups last for so long?
With bands, even when it's obvious that they hate each other, so many of them continue for years
Girl groups break up straight away.

163. [+176 / -3]
>>152
Maybe it's because male groups treat each other like business partners and nothing more, nothing less?
There are lots of different types of women, but I think a lot of us want to be close friends even in private, so when we do get close but then we fight, it all goes sour, maybe? I don't know though.

673. [+92 / -1]
>>152
Simply put, once a girl becomes a fan of someone, she'll support them for a long time. But with male fans, when the object of their affection is female, a lot of them lose interest once she loses her youth.

38. [+977 / -19]
At the end of next year?
I think it's fine if they disband at the end of this year
They have zero demand and have basically no fans

39. [+434 / -10]
I felt nostalgic when I heard 'anata watashi no snowman snowman snowman♪' playing in the supermarket.

43. [+1145 / -5]
LDH supports their male groups a lot, but I have the impression that they don't really care about their female groups.
