Akae Tamao Gives Listeners Advance Notice About Her and Hakata Daikichi's FRIDAY Article
On the 18th April, Freelance Announcer Akae Tamao informed her listeners of the TBS radio show "Tamamusubi" beforehand that the the next issue of the tabloid FRIDAY (on sale 19th April) will be reporting on her and Comedian Hakata Daikichi's "grass bed" date. She confessed that everything [in the issue] was correct, and that it was not groundless but based on fact.
She read out the headline of the coming FRIDAY article, "Hakata Daikichi and Akae Tamao: Nestling Together on a Grass Bed" and commented, "I was so embarrassed today, I wanted to take the day off."

Akae explained how the situation came to be. She approached Daikichi (one of her co-hosts of Tamamusubi) to consult and discuss their future plans for Tamamusubi. Daikichi suggested going out to lunch during the gap he had before his next job.
As their discussion involved some complicated talk, Akae made a reservation at a restaurant in Aoyama. After they had lunch, there was still some spare time. As the restaurant's lunchtime period was limited, they left the shop. "We weren't really keen on going to a cafe and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. We said, 'There's a park so how about we watch the cherry blossoms to kill time?'" That was how they ended up going to the park, she explained.
She explained that they were surrounded by people, and lots of groups, such as office workers, were flower viewing. Seeing that a group who were having a party under a cherry tree had packed up and left, they moved under the tree because it had the best view of the cherry blossoms.
When she found out that this article was going to come out, "I was scolded by various people, my family, my husband etc." Her husband was extremely mad at her, "You should never have done that. It looks suspicious no matter what angle you look at it." She reflected, "I thought that it was fine because it was in broad daylight with people around..." "This is seriously embarrassing," she repeated over and over.

The topic of FRIDAY's latest issue were a photos of Freelance Announcer Akae Tamao and Hakata Daikichi. Photos of the two sitting intimately on the grass of Aoyama Cemetery were printed on a two page spread, grandly headlined with "Forbidden love?" "Nestling Together on a Grass Bed."
In regards to their harmonious-looking date, the tabloid explained that the two are both married to other people and are co-hosts in the TBS radio show Tamamusubi. They pointed out that even if they pretend to be "Work buddies," it cannot be taken at face value.
Despite this, one after the other, netizens have spoken in their defense. The majority which say:

For the listeners of Tamamusubi, their opinion is that "There's no problem." As Daikichi-san and Akae-san have been regulars of Tamamusubi since it began, it isn't difficult for listeners to imagine that they are work friends with no need for formalities.
Also, Akae-san's early "confession" probably had a positive effect. Many have also responded with "Adultery is wrong" and it's not a problem so long as you don't cross the "line."
